| Cleaning and Degreasing
Remove surface oil contamination through water washing, solvent cleaning, or alkaline degreasing agents to ensure the metal substrate is thoroughly clean. Residual grease can compromise coating adhesion and corrosion resistance, so it must be completely eliminated.
| Rust Removal and Pickling
Use mechanical or chemical methods to remove impurities such as rust and oxide scale, preventing rust from spreading and causing coating failure. Acid pickling can be effectively carried out using sulfuric acid or oxalic acid solutions, and combining it with ultrasonic cleaning enhances the results even further.
| Surface Adjustment (Surface Treatment)
Neutralize residual substances on the workpiece surface using acidic or alkaline solutions, adjust the pH to neutral (pH = 7), and accelerate the subsequent phosphating reaction while enhancing coating adhesion.
Phosphating treatment
A dense phosphating film is formed using a phosphate solution, enhancing coating adhesion and improving surface roughness. The porous structure of the phosphating film facilitates paint penetration, thereby extending the coating's lifespan.
| Specialized Techniques
Some processes utilize a combined oil-removal and rust-removal technology, simultaneously performing degreasing and rust removal at room temperature using a specialized solution—streamlining the process while reducing environmental impact.
