Aeration Grit Chamber Scum Collection System

The scum collection system in the aerated grit chamber primarily consists of a scum skimmer and a scum discharge channel, designed to collect and remove floating scum.
  • Product Description
  • | Slag Scraping Plate and Slag Discharge Channel
    The scum skimmer is installed beneath the drive beam and moves along with the equipment, pushing the floating scum toward the scum discharge channel. The scum discharge channel features an inclined design (with a slope of approximately 0.1–0.5), working in conjunction with the guide surface to efficiently direct and collect the scum for removal.

    | Scum Treatment Process
    After being collected by the skimming plate, the scum flows through the sludge discharge channel into the sludge collection tank, and is then pumped via a pumping system to the sand-water separator for treatment.

    | Key Component Functions
    Scraping plate: Moves along with the transmission beam, pushing floating scum toward the sludge discharge channel;
    Slag Removal Channel: Guides floating slag toward the outlet via an inclined slope;
    Flow guide: Ensure smooth discharge of scum to prevent clogging.
